The little surprises that came with rain

1st is that streams started flowing (not surprising), but in those streams as they crossed roads we now have

tadpoles. We normally hear and see frogs & toads around rain seasons but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen tadpoles in any water pool!

The other surprise was this (anyone who can identify it?) that behaved like a sea/coral reef creature.
*someone’s ID’d it as a ‘water tiger’ (thanks Peter)

Then there were these beetles above that were both comfortable on the water surface and under water at times taking long breaks motionless under water. (anyone knows where they go in absence of water?)

The most surprising was this spider that glided and hunted on water. Attaining very fast speeds to catch prey landing on water.

*next article we look at the rain battalions of Kilome..
